According to a new poll from Redfield & Wilton Strategies, 64% of eligible voters think Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell should resign, 8% opposed, and the rest “neither agree nor disagree” or “don’t know.”
71% of people who voted for Trump in 2020 feel McConnell should step down.
McConnel has struggled with a number of health issues lately, including a fall and a head injury. Earlier this month, McConnell froze up during a press briefing.

During a recent interview, former President Trump called the event “sad.”
“Well, I thought it was sad. At the same time. I think it’s a shame that he went so far out to give Green New Deal money to Biden and the Democrats,” he said, adding, “But that was too bad. That was actually a sad thing to see. He had a bad fall, I guess and probably after effect of that, but it was also sad that he gave trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars to the Democrats to waste on the green New Deal.”
