House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy confirmed this week that Congressional Republicans have filed a lawsuit to stop Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “unconstitutional proxy voting scheme” during the Coronavirus pandemic.
“I just filed a lawsuit in federal court to overturn Speaker Pelosi’s unconstitutional proxy voting scheme. It could allow as few as 20 Representatives to control the votes of 220. This is NOT the representative democracy our Founders envisioned or what our Constitution allows,” posted McCarthy on Twitter.

“This week, House Democrats will break over 230 years of precedent and allow Members of Congress to vote by proxy on the House floor,” McCarthy wrote in a separate statement. “This is not simply arcane parliamentary procedure. It is a brazen violation of the Constitution, a dereliction of our duty as elected officials, and would silence the American people’s voice during a crisis.”
AMNESIA: After Telling Tourists ‘All IS WELL,' Pelosi Blames Trump for Not ‘Shutting the Door’ to China
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi continued to blame the Trump administration for the global Coronavirus pandemic this week; saying the President should have “shut the door” to China despite telling tourists “All is Well” in California during the same period.
“Do you agree that it was the right move by President Trump at the time?” asked CNN’s Jake Tapper.

BLAME GAME: Fancy Nancy Blames GOP for ‘Delaying the Bill’ After ‘Congratulating’ Dems for Blocking Aid
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi bizarrely blamed Sen. Mitch McConnell for blocking Coronavirus relief aid after “congratulating” Democrats in obstructing previous bills to help small businesses.
“We were very pleased that the Senate finally accepted the fact that we needed more money for testing, for hospitals, for smaller businesses… It took them a couple of weeks, but they finally did. This is the fourth bill that we’re passing,” said Pelosi.
“Mitch McConnell likes to say that we delayed the bill. No, he delayed the bill…So he was the one wasting time,” she added.

Pelosi publicly “congratulated” Senate Democrats this week after the lawmakers blocked a $250 billion relief bill aimed at American small businesses struggling during the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Last week, they asked for a quarter of a trillion dollars in 48 hours. I said, ‘I don’t think so.’ … So, Chuck Schumer and I, this all happened on the Senate side, I congratulate the Senate Democrats. They went to the floor when McConnell asked for his $250 billion, and they objected,” said Pelosi.
