DEM DAM BREAKING? First Democrat Says He Will Likely Vote ‘NO’ on Impeachment

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.06.19

New Jersey Congressman Jefferson Van Drew confirmed Friday he will likely vote “no” on impeaching President Trump should Speaker Pelosi bring the Articles to the House Floor.

“Van Drew represents a district that had long been held by the GOP until his election in 2018. He was one of only two Democrats to break party lines in late October and vote against a resolution establishing procedures for the public phase of the impeachment inquiry,” reports The Hill.

“Van Drew said that the weeks since then — which have featured several public hearings with witnesses to Trump’s dealings with Ukraine and constitutional experts — haven’t changed his position that impeachment isn’t warranted,” adds the website.

“I’ll look at new information that’s presented. I’ll always have an open mind. But where I am now is where I was before,” Van Drew told The Hill.

“Nobody ever forces me how to vote,” Van Drew added.

BREAKING NOW: House Democrats Release Impeachment Inquiry Report

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.03.19

The House Intelligence Committee led by Congressman Adam Schiff released their official impeachment inquiry report Tuesday; just one day before the process moves to Jerrold Nadler’s Judiciary Committee.

“The impeachment inquiry into Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, uncovered a months-long effort by President Trump to use the powers of his office to solicit foreign interference on his behalf in the 2020 election.  As described in this executive summary and the report that follows, President Trump’s scheme subverted U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine and undermined our national security in favor of two politically motivated investigations that would help his presidential reelection campaign,” writes the report.

“This report reflects the evidence gathered thus far by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, in coordination with the Committee on Oversight and Reform and the Committee on Foreign Affairs, as part of the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry into Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States. The report is the culmination of an investigation that began in September 2019 and intensified over the past three months as new revelations and evidence of the President’s misconduct towards Ukraine emerged.  The Committees pursued the truth vigorously, but fairly, ensuring the full participation of both parties throughout the probe,” adds the document.

DEVELOPING: Jim Jordan Moved to House Intel Committee for Impeachment Inquiry

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.08.19

GOP Rep. Jim Jordan was officially assigned to the House Intelligence Committee this week; the key Democrat-led panel overseeing their latest impeachment inquiry against President Trump.

“House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan has been assigned by Republican leadership to serve on the House Intelligence Committee so he can participate in questioning in the open Trump impeachment hearings starting next week,” reports Fox News.

Jordan, R-Ohio, replaces Rep. Rick Crawford, R-Ark., who temporarily resigned from his post on the panel Friday,” adds Fox.

“Jim Jordan has been on the front lines in the fight for fairness and truth. His addition will ensure more accountability and transparency in this sham process,” House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy said in a statement on Friday.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
