DE BLASIO SPIRALS: 2 NYPD Shot, 1 Stabbed, Mayor Says Protests Remind Him of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.04.20

Two members of the NYPD were shot in Brooklyn overnight Monday and another officer stabbed in the neck as protesters defied an 8pm curfew imposed by beleaguered Mayor Bill de Blasio.

“The melee unfolded when a suspect approached a cop on Church Avenue near Flatbush Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. and stabbed him in the neck, a police source said,” reports the New York Post.

Meanwhile, the mayor faced a growing backlash after saying the violent situation reminded him of John Lennon’s utopian anthem ‘Imagine.’

“I don’t mean to make light of this. But I’m reminded of the song ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon. We played it at my inauguration! What about a world where people got along differently? What about a world where we didn’t live with a lot of the restrictions that we live with now,” said De Blasio. “We’re not there yet. The protest movement themselves is how we make progress!”

DE BLASIO’S NYC: Looters Smash Stores in Manhattan, Flee in $500,000 Rolls Royce Before Cops Arrive

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.03.20

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio struggled to contain widespread violence and looting in all five boroughs this week, with new footage surfacing on social media showing criminals fleeing the scene of the crime in what one user claims is a “$500,000 Rolls Royce.”

“Looters are literally pulling up in nice cars and cleaning out stores in #Soho. What #Curfew?” posted a producer from NBC News.

“An NBC producer filmed men pulling up luxury cars before they appeared to ransack stores in Manhattan during a fifth night of rioting after the killing of George Floyd. Keith Feldman posted a video on Twitter of men getting out of expensive cars, one of which was claimed to be a $500,000 Rolls Royce,” reports the Daily Mail.

Vandals and looters also struck stores in mid-town Manhattan and Brooklyn despite De Blasio’s curfew.

MORE CHAOS in NYC: Rioters Clash with Police, Hundreds of Looters Strike Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.02.20

Hundreds of looters hit the streets of New York City for a second straight night Monday; striking stores in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Mid-town Manhattan hours after protesting the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week.

“The roving gangs began their spree of rampage after a demonstration over George Floyd’s death earlier in the evening, at times clashing with peaceful protestors who desperately attempted to stop the looting and destruction,” reports the New York Post.

“It’s systemic, one person breaks the glass with something,” said one eyewitness. “Someone else comes up on a bike and robs the store, it’s systemic, you can see.”

“It’s coordinated,” one source said. “They are not out-of-towners. We know who they are.”
