BACKLASH: NYPD Union Blasts De Blasio, Says Mayor’s Daughter an ‘Object-Throwing Rioting Anarchist’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.01.20

The NYPD Sergeants Benevolent Association ripped New York Mayor Bill de Blasio in a now-deleted tweet Monday; calling his daughter an “object throwing rioting anarchist” after learning of her arrest late Saturday night.

“How can the NYPD protect the city of NY from rioting anarchist when the Mayors object throwing daughter is one of them. Now we know why he is forbidding Mounted units to be mobilized and keeping the NYPD from doing their jobs,” read the SBA tweet.

Bill de Blasio said he was “proud” of his daughter after the 25-year-old was reportedly arrested in Manhattan for blocking traffic during citywide protests in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd.

“We asked her to recount the whole story. I love my daughter deeply, I honor her. She only wants to do good in the world. She believes a lot of change is needed. I’m proud of her that she cares so much that she’s willing to go out there and do something about it,” said de Blasio.

“She was acting peacefully. She believes that everything she did was in the spirit of respectful protest… I’ll let her speak for herself, but I admire that she was out there trying to change something that she thought was unjust,” he added.

CAPITAL CHAOS: DC Mayor Says She Was ‘OUTRAGED’ When Law Enforcement ‘Moved Out’ Protesters

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.02.20

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser claimed she was “outraged” Tuesday after “federal law enforcement officials” cleared a local park of protesters to ensure the safety of the President of the United States.

“We were very shocked and quite frankly outraged. People who were not violating the curfew and who did not seem to have provoked attack were attacked and moved out by federal law enforcement officials, who were directed to clear the way for the President,” said Bowser.

President Trump vowed to crackdown on violent protests in cities across the country this week; saying he “swore an oath” to uphold the rule of law in the United States and that “is exactly what I will do.”

“My fellow Americans – My first and highest duty as President is to defend our great Country and the American People. I swore an oath to uphold the laws of our Nation — and that is exactly what I will do,” said the President.

Anti-police riots continued Monday night as thousands of protesters targeted members of law enforcement across the country; leaving at least six officers shot and a member of the NYPD a victim of a “hit and run” in the Bronx.

“Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo said two shooting incidents took place amid protests across the city Monday night,” reports ABC News. “In the first incident, an officer was shot while engaging with protesters near the Circus Circus hotel and casino.”

“Our officers were attempting to take rocks and bottles from the crowd,” said Lombardo. “Officers were attempting to get some of the protesters in custody when a shot rang out and our officer went down.”

In New York City, a member of the NYPD was targeted in a “hit and run” vehicular attack in the Bronx.

“The officer was mowed down at the intersection of East 170th Street and Walton Avenue in Mt. Eden by the driver of a dark sedan,” reports the New York Post.
