During a recent episode of his podcast Verdict, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted President Biden for being laughed at by a roomful of Canadians during recent remarks the POTUS delivered while addressing the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa.
“So today, I applaud China for stepping up,” Biden said as the audience instantly burst out in laughter. “I applaud Canada. You can tell what I’m thinking.”
Cruz absolutely blasted Joe for the gaffe.
“So that’s addressing the Canadian Parliament. And listen, fine, so he had a slip of the tongue. Everyone does that. Biden does it a lot,” Cruz said. “But I just want to point out that’s the entire Parliament of Canada laughing at the President of the United States.”
“Now, Canadians are many things, but fundamentally, they’re polite. They are very polite,” Cruz continued. “Just how bad do you have to screw up to have a roomful of Canadians laughing at you?”
