White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt released some stats on Tuesday detailing the latest arrest numbers in Washington D.C.
Crime is plummeting after federal intervention.
“President Trump’s efforts to make D.C. safe again are working,” Leavit said.
Leavitt highlighted the following:
• 465 total arrests since the operation started on August 7
• 52 arrests last night alone, including an MS-13 gang member
• 48 total homeless encampments cleared off D.C. streets

The D.C. Police Union shared some updated statistics on X, showing just how far crime has fallen in just 7 days since President Trump deployed the National Guard to address the crime crisis.
“While federal assistance gives us a boost, we must repeal the misguided Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Act in order to make these changes permanent,” the post said.
