Deputy Prime Minister and finance minister Chrystia Freeland announces several measures —and abuses of power — the Canadian government will be taking to crack down on the freedom convoy protests. Money laundering and antiterrorism powers will be expanded to sever online crowdfunding pipelines, and back account information of private citizens will be shared with law enforcement.
“Send your semitrailers home,” Ms. Freeland told protesters.
