Recently sworn-in Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez set her sights on a new target this week; urging all Americans to “keep fighting” against “plastic bags at grocery stores” to combat the negative impacts of climate change.
Cortez was speaking with local news New York 1 when she abruptly slammed the use of plastic bags while shopping for groceries, saying “I can be upset that I get 10 plastic bags at the grocery store and then have to toss out my plastic bags.”
.@AOC: “I can be upset that I get ten plastic bags at the grocery store and then have to toss out my plastic bags because the recycling program in the area is tough, and that’s ok."

“All of these are not reasons to stop fighting. All of these are reasons to keep fighting. These are all reasons and pieces of evidence to say, ‘Hey, we need to make it easier to recycle,'” she added.
AOC EXPLODES: Cortez Says She ‘Doesn’t Care Anymore’, Screams ‘I’m the Boss’ on Climate Change
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to deflect criticism of her ‘Green New Deal’ over the weekend; repeatedly yelling “I’m the boss” when it comes to climate-change policy and future legislation.
“You know what? I don’t care anymore. Again, I’m at least trying and they’re not. The power is in the person who’s trying regardless of the success. If you’re trying you’ve got all the power,” claimed Cortez.

“I just introduced ‘Green New Deal’ two weeks ago and it’s creating all of this conversation. Why? Because no one else has even tried… You try, you do it. Because you’re not. Until you do it, I’m the boss. How about that?” she yelled.
