CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer agreed with former National Security Advisor Susan Rice’s assertion that the Russian government could be behind the recent riots striking major American cities; saying “foreign” actors are out to “embarrass the United States.”
“You’re absolutely right on the foreign interference. We know for decades the Russians, the Soviet Union, they’ve often tried to embarrass the United States by promoting the racial divide in this country,” said Blitzer.
“They take any divisive issue… and they play on both sides. Their aim is not simply to embarrass the United States, but to divide us,” added Susan Rice.

CAPITAL CURFEW: DC Mayor Announces 7PM Curfew After Night of Violence, Riots Outside White House
Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser unveiled a citywide 7pm curfew Monday just hours after violent protests left more than 50 Secret Service Agents injured and hundreds more harmed throughout the Capital.
“Every American should be outraged by the murder of George Floyd,” Bowser said. “I want to implore D.C. residents to think of ways to be part of the solution, not part of the destruction.”

CHAOS DC: 50 Secret Service Members Injured, Riots Outside White House, Trump Rushed to Bunker
This is a developing story. From Fox News:
More than 50 Secret Service agents were injured, fires set by rioters blazed near the White House and authorities were searching for car bombs late Sunday as protests over the death of George Floyd continued to roil the capital just two days after President Trump had to be taken to a bunker for his safety.
A senior official in the direct chain of command for defending Washington D.C. told Fox News of the injuries to Secret Service agents, some of whom were hurt by rioters throwing bottles and Molotov cocktails in Lafayette Park, just across from the presidential residence. As observed in New York City and elsewhere, groups in D.C. are planting cars filled with incendiary materials for future use, Fox News is told. U.S. Marshals and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents were deployed to the streets of D.C. in an extraordinary move to beef up security alongside local police and Homeland Security agents, including the Secret Service, the Justice Department confirmed late Sunday. Fox News has learned U.S. Attorney for D.C. Mike Sherwin is heavily involved in the operation.
Lights that normally illuminate the exterior of the White House were disabled early Monday morning, reportedly so that the Secret Service could use night-vision equipment to monitor protesters.
