Which polls, Joe?
During a strange back and forth with the press on Tuesday, President Biden responded to a reporter who asked “What’s your message to Democrats who don’t want you to run again?”
Biden’s response represents an alarming break with reality.
“They want me to run,” Biden responded, to which the reporter added, “Two-thirds say they don’t.”
“Read the poll. Read the polls, Jack. You guys are all the same. That poll showed that 92% of Democrats, if I ran, would vote for me,” Biden insisted.
The New York Times/Siena College poll released on Monday found that 64% of Democrats would like to see someone other than Biden run in the 2024 presidential election.
“In a sign of deep vulnerability and of unease among what is supposed to be his political base, only 26 percent of Democratic voters said the party should renominate him in 2024,” the Times writes.
“Joe Biden doesn’t like tough questions…Joe got all worked up when a reporter asked him whether he would run again in 2024,” Jesse Watters said before introducing the clip of Joe on Jesse Watters Primetime.
