“Cover climate now!”
A very small group of climate protesters interrupted Monday’s taping of The View featuring guest Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX); they were shouting at the hosts to cover climate —which they do on a regular basis, but the chant went on until Whoopi got mad.
From The New York Post:
Cruz continued to talk over the top of the chants before one of the women purportedly yelled out: “F–k you Ted Cruz!”
The profanity prompted moderator Whoopi Goldberg to fire back before the show quickly cut to commercial.
“Ladies, ladies! Excuse us! Let us do our jobs,” Goldberg blasted back. “We hear what you have to say, but you gotta go! You gotta go, you gotta let us do our job.”
An ABC spokesperson told The Post in a statement: “Three members of the audience interrupted ‘The View’ today during Sen. Ted Cruz’s appearance protesting about climate. They were promptly escorted out by security.”
Co-host Ana Navarro offered up an apology to the senator, stating: “I’ve been very vocal and critical of you, but I’m sorry that this has happened in our house.”
