Class Warfare: AOC & Warren Mock Wealthy Americans, Say US Economy is Their ‘Safe Space’

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.06.19

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and rising presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren doubled-down on their class warfare rhetoric Wednesday; mocking billionaires for using the US economy as their personal “safe space.”

“The fact that they’ve reacted so strongly—so angrily!—to being asked to chip in more tells you all you need to know. The system is working great for the wealthy and well-connected, and Jamie Dimon doesn’t want that to change. I’m going to fight to make sure it works for everyone,” posted Warren on social media, referring to Dimon’s claim that Warren’s rhetoric vilified successful Americans.

“Y’all, the billionaires are asking for a safe space – you know, in addition to the entire US economy and political lobbying industry,” added Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.

Warren escalated her attack on billionaires this week; saying successful and wealthy Americans will fully fund her $52 trillion ‘Medicare for All’ plan.

AOC Explodes: AOC Says Republicans ‘Treat Our Country as a Joke’ and ‘Play Games with American Lives’

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed her Republican colleagues on social media Monday; saying the GOP “treats our country as a joke” and routinely “plays games with people’s lives.”

“When Republicans say our nation’s laws are ‘just a joke,’ they mean it. They treat our country as a joke, our communities as a joke, and our future as a joke. For the GOP, as long as the rich get richer, they are happy to play games with American lives,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

AOC’s critique comes hours after she called for the abolishment of prisons across the United States.

“Mass incarceration is our American reality. It is a system whose logic evolved from the same lineage as Jim Crow, American apartheid, & slavery. To end it, we have to change. That means we need to have a real conversation about decarceration & prison abolition in this country,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

The far-left lawmaker made similar comments last week; saying there should be no billionaires throughout the United States.

“‘Billionaires should not exist’ does not mean certain people should not exist. It means no person should have a billion dollars. The ascent of billionaires is a symptom & outcome of an immoral system that tells people affordable insulin is impossible but exploitation is fine,” posted AOC on Twitter.

BAN BILLIONAIRES! AOC Says ‘No Person Should Have a Billion Dollars’ in the United States

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed wealthy Americans on social media this week; saying “no person should have a billion dollars” in the United States of America.

“‘Billionaires should not exist’ does not mean certain people should not exist. It means no person should have a billion dollars. The ascent of billionaires is a symptom & outcome of an immoral system that tells people affordable insulin is impossible but exploitation is fine,” posted AOC on Twitter.

Sen. Bernie Sanders made similar statements last month.

“Billionaires should not exist,” he stated on social media. “There should be no billionaires. We are going to tax their extreme wealth and invest in working people.”

“In order to reduce the outrageous level of inequality that exists in America today and to rebuild the disappearing middle class, the time has come for the United States to establish an annual tax on the extreme wealth of the top 0.1 percent of U.S. households,” Sanders writes. “This wealth tax would only apply to net worth of over $32 million and would raise an estimated $4.35 trillion over the next decade. Anyone who has a net worth of less than $32 million would not see their taxes go up at all under this plan.”

“The tax rate would increase to 2 percent on net worth from $50 to $250 million, 3 percent from $250 to $500 million, 4 percent from $500 million to $1 billion, 5 percent from $1 to $2.5 billion, 6 percent from $2.5 to $5 billion, 7 percent from $5 to $10 billion, and 8 percent on wealth over $10 billion. These brackets are halved for singles,” adds Bernie.
