A local shop owner in New York City was reportedly beaten by a group of 15 teenagers this week; telling reporters he was attacked shortly after purchasing a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat at Trump Tower.
“A New York City art gallery owner says he was viciously beaten in Manhattan by a pack of teens for wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat,” reports Fox New York. “Jahangir ‘John’ Turan, 42, says it happened Tuesday evening on Canal Street. He was wearing the MAGA hat that he had purchased earlier in the day at Trump Tower.”
“He says the group of about 15 ‘kids’ yelled ‘F*** Trump’ and stomped on him. One of them smashed his head into a scaffold. Turan says he suffered a fracture in his cheek and a badly swollen eye,” adds Fox.
“I love President Trump. I think he’s doing a great job,” Turan said. “It’s sad to get beat up for wearing this hat. This is America.”
Caricature images of “average Trump supporters” appeared on garbage cans in the Big Apple last year; with the hateful artwork referring to GOP voters as “trash” in the nations’ largest city.
According to Fox News Insider, “Images of Trump supporters and Boston sports fans have turned up on garbage can and train station posters in New York City under the slogan ‘Keep NYC Trash Free.’ The artwork […] began showing up on trash cans where a public service announcement would normally be.”

'MAGA' FREE NYC: Manhattan Judge Allows Bars to BAN Trump Supporters
A Manhattan judge ruled this week that bar and restaurant owners could ban patrons from wearing ‘Make America Great Again’ caps and other Trump-supporting apparel; suggesting there’s little protection from “political discrimination” in the nation’s largest city.
According to the New York Post, the judge struck down a tourist’s lawsuit against a West Village bar after he was ejected for wearing the iconic ‘MAGA’ hat; adding freedom of religion does not protect one’s freedoms regarding political statements.
“He was paying spiritual tribute to the victims of 9/11. The Make American Great Again hat was part of his spiritual belief,” said the man’s lawyer. “Rather than remove his hat, instead he held true to his spiritual belief and was forced from the bar.”
“Plaintiff does not state any faith-based principle to which the hat relates,” fired-back the judge.
“Here the claim that plaintiff was not served and eventually escorted out of the bar because of his perceived support for President Trump is not outrageous conduct,” the ruling states.
