CHANGE OF VENUE: McCarthy Says GOP Will Hold Congressional Border Hearings at the Southern Border

According to Fox News border correspondent Bill Melugin, GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy is touring the southern border; McCarthy says he plans on holding any border hearings “physically at the border” so Democrats can see the damage firsthand.

“NEW: GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy tells me he plans to hold congressional border hearings physically at the border to force Democrats to see crisis firsthand. Says he was “shocked & outraged” when he heard DHS’ Mayorkas testify under oath last week that border is ‘secure,” Melugin tweeted.

Melugin also reported on a few recent busts at the border —involving two huge fentanyl busts.

McCarthy is expected to make a huge announcement regarding DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday.
