Jordan wants to speak to the heads of five Big Tech companies —and they don’t have a choice.
According to a report from The Daily Wire, House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) has subpoenaed the heads of five Big Tech companies seeking documents and communications “relating to the federal government’s reported collusion with Big Tech to suppress free speech.”
Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft are all on the hit list.
“The House Judiciary Committee has repeatedly attempted to engage with the five companies since last December. Unfortunately, the companies have not adequately complied with our requests,” the press release said.
Jordan wants the Big Five to be more transparent, as Twitter has been in releasing the Twitter Files.
Jordan shared the news on Twitter:
“We just subpoenaed Google, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, and Apple regarding Big Tech’s reported collusion with the federal government.
Step one towards accountability.”
