CHAIR JORDAN! House Judiciary Digs Into Trump Indictment, Subpoenas Former NYC DA Employee

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.06.23

House Judiciary Committee chair Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) has subpoenaed former NY DA office employee Mark Pomerantz who resigned after Bragg refused to, initially, bring charges against former President of the United States Donald Trump.

Jordan shared the news on Twitter:

“The Justice Department wasn’t going to bring this case. The previous District Attorney Cy Vance wasn’t going to bring this case. And even Alvin Bragg himself, when he first gets elected, didn’t want to bring the case. But you know who did want to bring it? Mark Pomerantz.”

The subpoena begins as follows:

The Committee on the Judiciary is conducting oversight of the New York County District unprecedented indictment of a former President of the United States and current declared candidate for that office. On March 22, 2023, we requested that you voluntarily cooperate with our oversight by providing relevant documents and testimony pertaining to your role as a special assistant district attorney leading the investigation into the former President’s finances. We received a reply letter dated March 27, 2023, stating that, at the instruction of the New York County District Attorney’s Office, you would not cooperate with our oversight. You enclosed a copy of a letter from the New York County District Attorney’s Office directing you not to cooperate.
