'CAN'T MAKE THIS UP': Chuck Schumer’s Guest Booted from Impeachment Trial Over GPS Ankle Bracelet, Felony Charges

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.29.20

Chuck Schumer’s personal guest to attend the Senate’s ongoing Impeachment trial was removed Wednesday stemming from issues related to his electronic ankle bracelet and multiple felony charges.

“Scenes from the impeachment trial: Schumer invited Lev Parnas to be his personal guest today at the trial. Minutes ago, Parnas was ejected from the gallery…because he’s wearing an ankle bracelet mandated bc he’s a criminal defendant accused of serious felonies!” posted Sen. Ted Cruz on Twitter.

“The best way to sum up this whole debacle is to understand that Senator Schumer’s desire for Lev Parnas to attend the Senate trial apparently cannot be accommodated because Mr. Parnas has an electronic ankle bracelet imposed upon him by the court. You can’t make this up,” added Sen. Lindsey Graham.

BREAKING: McConnell REJECTS Pelosi’s Impeachment Demands, Says Her Party's ‘Turn is Over’

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.03.20

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell sharply rejected Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s demands regarding any impeachment trial; saying the Democratic Party’s “turn” in shaping the process “is over.”

“Their turn is over. They’ve done enough damage. It’s the Senate’s turn now to render sober judgment,” McConnell told lawmakers Friday. “We can’t hold a trial without the articles. The Senate’s own rules don’t provide for that.”

“Will we fulfill our duty to conduct a fair impeachment trial of the president of the United States or will we not? That is most pressing question facing this Senate,” said Sen. Schumer moments later. “The country just saw McConnell’s answer to that question. The answer is no.”

BREAKING: McConnell ‘Shoots Down’ Schumer’s Demands on Senate Impeachment Rules

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.17.19

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell rejected an initial offer from Sen. Chuck Schumer Tuesday regarding his requests for a potential impeachment trial in the Senate; calling his proposal a “fishing expedition.”

“The Senate Democratic leader would apparently like our chamber to do House Democrats’ homework for them. He wants to volunteer the Senate’s time and energy on a fishing expedition,” McConnell said.

“McConnell’s comments are the first time he’s responded to Schumer’s offer, sent on Sunday night, which outlined Democrats’ opening proposal on how to handle the Senate’s looming impeachment trial,” reports The Hill.

“The preferable path would have been an in-person conversation, which none the less, I still hope to pursue,” McConnell added.

“The Democratic leader wants to write a completely new set of rules for President Trump,” said the Senate Leader. “The same process that Senator Schumer though was good enough for President Clinton he doesn’t want to afford President Trump, go figure.”
