CALIFORNIA NIGHTMARE: LA Traffic So Bad Burger King to DELIVER WHOPPERS to Starving Motorists

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.16.19

The traffic around Los Angeles, California is so congested that fast-food giant Burger King is now willing to deliver ‘Whoppers’ to drivers stuck on roads across the city.

“After a successful test in Mexico City, fast-food chain Burger King will begin delivering food to drivers caught in traffic in Los Angeles in what they have dubbed The Traffic Jam Whopper,” reports CBS Los Angeles.

“According to several reports, the direct-to-car delivery service will use motorcyclists to delivery food to those stuck in traffic jams using real-time data to pinpoint Burger King fans on the road,” adds the article.

Delivery drivers will use Google technology to bring the fast food items to motorists using the Burger King app who are within a 1.9 mile radius of the restaurant.

The unbelievable traffic conditions come as gas prices soar across the region; topping $4 and even $5 per gallon near Los Angeles and San Francisco.

“The statewide average price of gasoline has soared over $4 per gallon in recent weeks – and now at least four stations there are charging more than $5, according to fuel-savings app GasBuddy,” reports USA Today.

“California is a big reason for the spike in the national average. The state’s average price of $4.09 is up 44 cents from a month ago and 46 cents from a year ago, according to AAA,” adds the article.

Experts cite the rising prices on a series of outages at several American refineries as well as increased taxes imposed on California’s residents.

Residents throughout the state may soon face even more financial pressure as Governor Gavin Newsom’s government weighs a series of new taxes on drinking water, tires, prescription drugs, car batteries, real estate, and more.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: 53% Consider ‘FLEEING’ the State Due to Crime, Homeless, Taxes, MORE

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.13.19

A stunning new survey published this week shows just how difficult life’s become for the average California resident; revealing a shocking 53% of those asked said they are considering “fleeing” the region over crime, housing, and high taxes.

“Fifty-three percent of Californians surveyed are considering fleeing, representing a jump over the 49 percent polled a year ago,” writes CNBC.

“There’s no doubt that California’s economy, for all of its strengths when it comes to innovation and creating these industries that people want to be part of, is struggling with high costs,” said a leading economist. “Costs have gotten way ahead of incomes in California, and that’s making a lot of people think about whether it’s worth the hurdles.”

“California just doesn’t strike them as reasonable,” he added.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: DOJ to INVESTIGATE Oakland Mayor After ICE TIP-OFF

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.02.18

The White House confirmed this week that the Department of Justice was launching an investigation into a California mayor who tipped-off illegal immigrants of impending ICE sweeps; calling the left-wing politicians actions “outrageous,” reports the Los Angeles Times.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called-out Oakland, California Mayor Libby Schaaf Thursday over her decision to publicly disclose imminent immigration crackdowns throughout the Bay Area, telling residents to be on the lookout for federal agents within their communities.

“I think it’s outrageous that a mayor would circumvent federal authorities and certainly put them in danger by making a move such as that,” said Sanders, adding that her actions were currently “under review” to see if she violated federal law.

“The Oakland mayor’s decision to publicize her suspicions about ICE operations further increased that risk for my officers and alerted criminal aliens — making clear that this reckless decision was based on her political agenda with the very federal laws that ICE is sworn to uphold,” said ICE’s acting director.

Oakland, like many other California municipalities, considers itself a ‘Sanctuary City,’ often shielding illegal immigrants and undocumented workers from federal authorities and border patrol agents.
