BUMBLING BIDEN: Joe's Final Pitch a Disaster, Says Black Students 'Just as Smart,' Forgets Candidate's Name

Joe Biden had his fair share of gaffes Monday night, as he made his final pitch to midterm voters in Maryland at a rally for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wes Moore.

According to a report from The New York Post, Biden told the crowd at a historically black college on Monday that they were “just as smart” and “just as bright” as students at other schools as he delivered his final speech before the midterm elections in a deeply Democratic part of Maryland.

“Touting his $5.8 billion commitment to HBCUs, Biden told the mostly black audience at Bowie State University that ‘HBCUs don’t have the endowments others have, but guess what? You’re just as smart, you’re just as bright, you’re just as good as any college in America,’” the Post reported.

Biden also had a strange exchange with a heckler, who he told “don’t jump.”

From The New York Post:

At one point during his speech, Biden appeared to forget the name of one of the Maryland Democrats he was rallying for.

“And, of course, you got that next governor. What’s his name? Wes … Wes …,” Biden said as several people in the crowd held up “Wes Moore” signs that the president spotted.

“Wes Moore!” Biden shouted upon seeing the signs go up. “The guy’s the real deal, man.”

FLOTUS Dr. Jill Biden also appeared in support of Moore, saying “This election is too important to sit out. I am asking you to put voting on your top of the to-do list.”

Moore is expected to win the race; Biden was largely shunned by Democrats in competitive races.
