Former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump says special counsel Jack Smith has told him he is a target in the Jan. 6 criminal investigation; it’s “horrifying news for our country,” Trump said on TRUTH.
“So now, Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I turned down for the United States Supreme Court (in retrospect, based on his corrupt and unethical actions, a very wise decision!), together with Joe Biden’s Department of Injustice, have effectively issued a third indictment and Arrest of Joe Biden’s NUMBER ONE POLITICAL OPPONENT, who is largely dominating him in the race for the Presidency,” Trump shared in a statement on TRUTH.
“Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before, or even close. They illegally spied on my Campaign, attacked me with a totally Fake “Dossier” that was funded by Hillary Clinton’s Campaign and the DNC, Impeached me twice (I won!), they failed on the Mueller Witch Hunter (No Collusion!), they failed on the Rusia, Russia, Russia Hoax, the 51 “intelligence” Agents fraud d, the FBI/Twitter Files, the DOJ/Facebook censorship, and every other scam imaginable.”
“BUT I WILL NEVER STOP,” Trump added, later in the statement.
According to CNBC, “Smith already has criminally charged Trump with about two dozen crimes related to retaining classified documents when he left the White House.”
“Trump in a social media post about the new target letter sent by Smith suggested he may soon face indictment for the Jan. 6 probe, which is focused on Trump’s efforts to overturn his loss in the 2020 presidential election.”
