The Trump administration “revoked” the state of California’s authority to regulate automobile mileage standards Wednesday; saying the move will make cars “less expensive” and “substantially safer” for users.
“In a move President Trump said will reduce car prices but will also anger environmental groups, the administration is revoking California‘s authority to set strict fuel economy standards,” reports Fox News.
“The Trump Administration is revoking California’s Federal Waiver on emissions in order to produce far less expensive cars for the consumer, while at the same time making the cars substantially SAFER. This will lead to more production because of this pricing and safety advantage, and also due to the fact that older, highly polluting cars, will be replaced by new, extremely environmentally friendly cars. There will be very little difference in emissions between the California Standard and the new U.S. Standard, but the cars will be far safer and much less expensive. Many more cars will be produced under the new and uniform standard, meaning significantly more JOBS, JOBS, JOBS! Automakers should seize this opportunity because without this alternative to California, you will be out of business,” posted Trump on Twitter.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: Gavin Newsom Calls for Free Healthcare for Region's ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS
Democratic candidate for Governor of California Gavin Newsom raised eyebrows across the state this week; calling for a universal healthcare program to cover millions of illegal immigrants residing in the region.
Newsom was speaking on the left-leaning “Pod Save America” podcast when he weighed-in on his fellow Democrats proposal for a “Medicare for All” system; saying a universal healthcare scheme should apply to every person -regardless of immigration status- living in California.
“I did universal health care when I was mayor– fully implemented, regardless of pre-existing condition, ability to pay, and regardless of your immigration status. San Francisco is the only universal health care plan for all undocumented residents in America. Very proud of that,” Newsom said. “I’d like to see that extended to the rest of the state.”

CALIFORNIA SCHEMIN': Newsom DITCHES High Speed Rail, Says Too Expensive, Won't Return $3.5B
California Governor Gavin Newsom announced Tuesday his government will abandon the state’s highly-touted high-speed rail link connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco; saying the project would likely cost too much money.
“I have nothing but respect for Governor Brown’s and Governor Schwarzenegger’s vision. I share it,” Newsom said. “But let’s be real. The current project, as planned, would cost too much and take too long.”

“The Democratic governor acknowledged critics who want the state to abandon the project entirely, but said he doesn’t want to waste the billions already spent on the project, nor does he want to return $3.5 billion the state has received in federal funding,” writes the Sacramento Bee.
