House Democrats released the first transcripts from their closed-door impeachment inquiry Monday following a public outcry from Republicans that the hearings were being kept from the American people.
“The panels released testimony from former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch and Michael McKinley, a former senior adviser to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Both have appeared on Capitol Hill for testimony as part of the inquiry,” reports Fox News. “The interviews were released by Rep. Adam Schiff of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Eliot Engel of the Foreign Affairs Committee and Rep. Carolyn Maloney of the Oversight and Reform Committee.”
“As we move towards this new public phase of the impeachment inquiry, the American public will begin to see for themselves the evidence that the committees have collected. With each new interview, we learn more about the President’s attempt to manipulate the levers of power to his personal political benefit,” read a statement from the three lawmakers.

BACKING OFF? After Demanding Impeachment, Hillary Warns Dems Not to ‘Jump to Conclusions’
Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton seemingly backed-off her latest calls for impeachment Tuesday; warning fellow Democrats to not “jump to any conclusions” on the Ukraine.
I think the evidence concerning Ukraine is so dramatic and irrefutable because it came right out of the White House. So let the impeachment inquiry proceed,” Clinton told ABC News. “I know that they will do a thoughtful, thorough job. Nobody should jump to any conclusions.”

“From everything we know and we don’t know much, this is an experienced person who saw things that bothered him. That’s what the whole whistle-blower statute is for. And it is to protect their identity. And I understand he’s going to testify and we’ll let the process unfold,” she added.
Clinton’s comments are a stark contrast to statement she made earlier this week, writing “The president of the United States has betrayed our country. That’s not a political statement—it’s a harsh reality, and we must act. He is a clear and present danger to the things that keep us strong and free. I support impeachment.”

BIDEN ON UKRAINE: ‘Want an Example of When a President Abuses His Power… Climate Change’
Former Vice President Joe Biden weighed-in Thursday on the Democrats’ latest push to impeach Donald Trump; bizarrely saying “climate change” is a good example of what happens when a President “abuses his power.”
“If you want to an example of what happens when a president puts his own selfish interests ahead of the national interests — when a president abuses his power — I’d say this is Exhibit A. Want another example? Climate change,” said Biden.

Biden’s comments come hours after a group of climate activists in London accidentally doused themselves with 475 gallons of “fake blood.”
“BREAKING: @ExtinctionR and @CClimateAction activists use fire engine to spray 1,800 litres of fake blood over the front of the Treasury in London,” posted Occupy London just before the mishap.

Our own Phil Kingston, 83, could be facing prison for this action this morning outside the Treasury.

“Four people have since been arrested for criminal damage in relation to the incident,” reports the Evening Standard. “While eventually successful, the operation did not get off to the best start when the climate activists lost control of the hose.”
