BREAKING: American Airstrikes Kill 62 ‘Islamist Extremists’ in Somalia

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.17.18

The United States military confirmed Monday that multiple air strikes have killed at least 62 “extremists” from the Islamist al-Shabab terror organization over the weekend; saying the operation was intended to deny the group “safe havens” in Somalia.

According to the BBC, four airstrikes on Saturday killed 34 fighters while two airstrikes on Sunday killed an additional 28.

“Alongside our Somali and international partners, we are committed to preventing al-Shabab from taking advantage of safe havens from which they can build capacity and attack the people of Somalia,” the US Africa Command said.

The strikes were launched from an American Air Force base in nearby Djibouti.

“The strike has neutralized an imminent attack,” said one Somali government official.

BREAKING: Supreme Court UPHOLDS TRUMP’S ‘TRAVEL BAN’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.26.18

The Supreme Court of the United States ruled Tuesday that President Trump’s highly-contested ‘travel ban’ is within his constitutional rights to protect the citizens of the United States; adding the immigration restrictions did not amount to “discrimination.”

The 5-4 decision effectively ends multiple lower court decisions that blocked the revised guidelines just hours after the ban was to take effect.

Chief Justice Roberts said the restrictions fall within presidential power to regulate “immigration” and rejected critics claims of anti-Muslim bias.

The ‘travel ban’ impacts travelers from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, North Korea, and Venezuela.

Challengers to the President’s policy claim the restrictions were motivated by religious bias, while supporters claim the move was necessary to help protect the US from visitors without a proper vetting process.

TERROR TIES: UN Panel Warns of New Threat from Al Qaeda, Bin Laden’s Son

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.15.18

A new report from the United Nations outlined the re-emerging threat from al Qaeda Wednesday, warning the terror network is poised to make a comeback under the leadership of Osama bin Laden’s son.

According to Fox News, the group is now led by Hamza bin Laden and is actively recruiting new members to carry out attacks in Europe and North America.

“Improved leadership and enhanced communication will probably increase the threat over time, as will any rise in the tendency, already visible in some regions, of ISIL supporters to join Al Qaeda,” writes the report.

The news comes just days after bin Laden reportedly married the daughter of Mohammed Atta, the lead hijacker behind the September 11th terrorist attacks.

“The report found that Al Qaeda is still a global network showing resilience, and it is stronger than ISIS in places like Somalia, Yemen and South Asia — and its leadership in Iran has grown more prominent,” writes Fox.
