Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) has been censured in the House of Representatives.
According to a Politico report, the House voted mostly along party lines to formally censure Rep. Jamaal Bowman for pulling a fire alarm during a key vote in September.
The resolution passed 214-191; he’s the third Rep censured this year.
“This is an insult to the people I was elected to represent,” Bowman said Wednesday evening on the House floor. “Instead of passing meaningful legislation, some Republicans are using this to waste our time and money and to make you forget about all of the rights they want to destroy.”
Fox News contributor Leo Terrell shared his reaction on X, saying “Breaking and Great News: Criminal aka Squad Member #JamaalBowman censured by House of Representatives for illegally setting off fire alarm! Get rid of this clown!”
