The visits couldn’t be any different…
President Biden visited Brownsville, Texas on Thursday as part of his trip to assess the crisis at the southern border. Joe shuffled along a desolate stretch looking confused. Critics of the President are writing the trip off as a photo opportunity for Joe as the election heats up.
Even a photo shoot with officers at the Brownsville station was closely choreographed.

Biden and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas walked a stretch of border that’s being described as a “desolate stretch of the border.” Brownsville is the 29th-most trafficked town by illegal border-crossers, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
A recent poll shows just 26% of Americans support Biden’s handling of the border. Biden will likely use the trip to blame Republicans in Congress for the state of the border — despite inheriting one of the strongest southern borderers in modern history.
“He will discuss the urgent need to pass the Senate bipartisan border security agreement, the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border in decades,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said aboard Air Force One on Wednesday. “He will reiterate his calls for congressional Republicans to stop playing politics and to provide the funding needed for additional U.S. Border Patrol agents, more asylum officers, fentanyl detection technology and more.

Meanwhile, former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump met with Texas Governor Greg Abbott in Eagle Pass, Texas on Thursday; one of the most heavily trafficked towns in the country.
“Nice weather. Beautiful day. But a very dangerous border. We’re going to take care of it,” Trump said in Eagle Pass.
