Local authorities in several Texas cities are rapidly preparing to handle a massive influx of Central American migrants in the coming weeks, with experts warning the flow of immigrants could reach 150,000 individuals per month in the near future.
“Thousands of asylum-seeking children could be headed to Dallas as the federal government looks to relieve pressure on a bloated immigration system and overwhelmed nonprofit shelters along the U.S.-Mexico border,” reports the Dallas News.
