BORDER CHAOS: DEA Says Drug Crisis ‘Worst in 30 YEARS,’ Arizona Deaths Tripled in Two Years

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.14.19

A Special Agent for the US Drug Enforcement Agency highlighted the escalating crisis taking place along the US-Mexico border Thursday; saying the flood of “Mexican Oxy” was causing the worst drug epidemic seen in more than “30 years.”

“It’s the worst I’ve seen in 30 years, this toll that it’s taken on families,” said Doug Coleman, the Drug Enforcement Administration special agent for Arizona. “The crack (cocaine) crisis was not as bad.”

The comments come as Arizona and other border states struggle with an influx of Fentanyl -locally referred to as ‘Mexican Oxy’- causing a series of deaths across the region.

“The death of Chavez and many others, officials said, illustrate how Arizona and other southwestern states bordering Mexico have become a hot spot in the nation’s fentanyl crisis. Fentanyl deaths tripled in Arizona alone from 2015 through 2017,” adds ABC Arizona.

BORDER CHAOS: 500 Pounds of Mexican METH Discovered in 'DISNEY' Figurines

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.11.18

The Drug Enforcement Agency discovered over $2 million worth of smuggled Mexican methamphetamines hidden inside Disney character figurines Wednesday; calling the haul the biggest “meth bust” in the Atlanta region.

According to DEA officials, the drugs were hidden inside over 500 figurines meant to look like beloved Disney characters such as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.

“DEA Atlanta Division Special Agent in Charge Robert Murphy says the meth originated in Mexico and was destined for Atlanta,” writes a local CBS affiliate. “He says another load containing legitimate ceramic figurines was intercepted and is believed to have been intended as a decoy.”

The discovery comes as President Trump pledges to crackdown on human trafficking and drug smuggling at the United States’ southern border; vowing last week to deploy the National Guard to help secure the region.

Nogales Border Agents seized upwards of 150 pounds of methamphetamines along the United States’ southern border with Mexico this week; busting two separate drug smuggling operations across the region.

The first incident resulted in Customs Agents confiscating 58 pounds of the dangerous substance with an estimated street value of $175,000.

The second sting seized 90 pounds of the deadly drug; equaling an additional $271,140.

“Nogales Border Patrol agents arrested two U.S. citizens and one Mexican national after finding nearly 150 pounds of methamphetamine during two separate incidents over the weekend at the Interstate 19 Immigration Checkpoint,” writes the agency.

“Agents arrested both drivers and the passenger of the van for drug smuggling and seized the methamphetamine and vehicles, all of which were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration,” confirmed the US Border Patrol Agency.
