'BETTER THAN EXPECTED': Even CNN Admitting May Inflation Numbers Great, Energy and Egg Prices Coming Down [WATCH]

Promises kept.

U.S. inflation rose in line with expectations in May, while core inflation came in lower than forecast. President Trump’s tariffs have not yet had a major impact on consumer prices.

The Consumer Price Index increased 2.4% year-over-year, matching economists’ estimates, according to the Wall Street Journal.

That figure was slightly higher than April’s 2.3% reading, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday.

Even fake news CNN was forced to admit the inflation numbers were “better than expected.”

“Another month of positive inflation news,” one CNN contributor said Wednesday morning. “Despite these historic tariffs, the latest numbers show that inflation remained relatively tame in May.”

Egg prices and energy prices are also down.

“CPI JUST OUT. GREAT NUMBERS! FED SHOULD LOWER ONE FULL POINT. WOULD PAY MUCH LESS INTEREST ON DEBT COMING DUE. SO IMPORTANT!!!”
