Beto O’Rourke found himself in the hot-seat during a campaign stop this week when a local woman pressed the politician over his pledge to “confiscate” certain firearms; telling the presidential hopeful “Hell No” he can’t take her guns.
“I am here to say, ‘Hell no, you’re not.’ With that, I’d like to know how you intend to legislate evil. Because it’s not the gun, it’s the heart of man that does that. We all have these stories; we all have experiences,” said the unidentified woman.
“I want to know how you intend to legislate the hearts of men and leave fellow citizens like myself defenseless,” she added.

While Beto frequently calls for the confiscation of certain weapons on the campaign trail, he’s also urged the creation of massive new government programs.
O’Rourke added to the list of rights -like Freedom of Speech and Religion- enjoyed by all Americans earlier this month; saying workers have “the right” to live close to their employment.
“Here’s a tough thing to talk about though we must. Rich people are going to have to allow — or be forced to allow — lower income people to live near them. Which is what we fail to do in this country right now. We force lower income working Americans to drive 1, 2, 3 hours in either direction to get to their jobs. Very often minimum wage jobs that they’re working 2 or 3 of them right now. What if, as we propose to do, we invested in housing that was closer to where you work. Very often mixed income housing meaning the very wealthiest are living next to those who are not the very wealthiest in this country,” said O’Rourke on the campaign trail.

APOCALYPSE NOW: Beto Says Texas Will Soon ‘Become Uninhabitable,’ Unable to ‘Sustain Human Life’
Failing presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke continued his climate crusade during CNN’s televised town hall Wednesday; claiming the city of El Paso will become “uninhabitable” to humans in the near future.
“My son Henry, who’s 8-years-old, he asked me, ‘Dad, if you win and you become President, we get to live in El Paso, right?’ I said no, we’d live in Washington, DC. But he knew that our community will become uninhabitable, will not sustain human life along this current trajectory unless something changes,” O’Rourke told the audience.

Sen. Bernie Sanders made similar dire predictions at the event; claiming population growth was a key aspect in fighting global warming.
“Empowering women to curb population growth seems reasonable to enact. Would you be courageous enough to discuss this issue and make it a key feature of a plan to address climate catastrophe?” asked an audience member.
“The answer is yes. Women have a right to control their own bodies and make reproductive decisions… In poor countries around the world, where women do not want to have large numbers of babies, where they can have the opportunity to use birth control to control the number of kids they have, is something I very strongly support,” said Sanders.

APOLOGY TOUR: Beto Tells The View He’s Sorry for ‘Privileged and Elitist’ Presidential Campaign
Failed Texas Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke publicly apologized Tuesday for his “privileged” and “elitist” presidential campaign launch; saying he will reintroduce himself to American voters in the weeks ahead.
“O’Rourke specifically indicated he regretted saying he ‘sometimes’ raised his son, and that his Vanity Fair cover ‘reinforced’ the perception that he was privileged,” reports Fox News. “When co-host Joy Behar asked if he thought the Vanity Fair cover looked ‘elitist,’ O’Rourke nodded his head.”

“You used the Vanity Fair Cover to announce your campaign. You said you were ‘Born to be in it.’ You went across the country alone on a road trip after you lost the election… These are things in my mind that a female candidate wouldn’t get away with. Do you think you can get away with more because you’re a man, and do you have any regrets?” asked co-host Meghan McCain.
“You’re right. There are things that I have been privileged to be able to do in my life that others have not. The more I travel and learn, the clearer that becomes to me,” said O’Rourke.
Beto’s poll numbers have nosedived in recent weeks despite unveiling his own ‘Green New Deal’ estimated to cost US taxpayers more than $5 trillion over the next decade.
O’Rourke’s “very first bill he sends to Congress … will mobilize $5 trillion over 10 years — spurred by the single largest investment to fight climate change in history — to transform our aging infrastructure, accelerate innovation, and empower our people and communities to lead the climate fight,” states the proposal.
Beto’s plan comes months after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez released her ‘Green New Deal’ that aims to reduce car travel, airplanes, consumption of red meat, “classic” construction materials, and more.
O’Rourke’s proposal aims to “”set a first-ever, net-zero emissions by 2030 carbon budget for federal lands, stopping new fossil fuel leases, changing royalties to reflect climate costs, and accelerating renewables development and forestation.”
