The Chinese government unveiled a series of new weapons at a military parade Tuesday; marking the 70th anniversary of their communist regime with a new missile that could strike the United States in 30 minutes.
“The vehicle-mounted Dong Feng 17, or DF-17, was the standout among weapons showed off at a military parade on Tuesday marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese state. Those also include the Dong Feng 41, or DF-41, an intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 15,000 kilometers (9,300 miles) — China’s longest-range weapon — that that could reach the United States in 30 minutes,” reports the Washington Post.
The parade comes as thousands of pro-democracy protesters swarm the streets of Hong Kong.
“Hong Kong police shot a teenage protester at close range in the chest Tuesday, leaving him bleeding and howling on the ground, in a fearsome escalation of anti-government demonstrations that spread across the semi-autonomous Chinese territory. Tens of thousands marched in a day of rage as Communist leaders in Beijing celebrated 70 years in power,” reports the Associated Press.
“While officers have previously fired warning shots in the air on multiple occasions during months of protests in Hong Kong, this was the first time a protester is known to have been shot. There were other instances Tuesday when officers also drew their weapons, including two with bloodied faces who pointed pistols, as protesters and riot police fought fierce battles at multiple locations in the city on edge, with many determined to spoil the Oct. 1 anniversary of Communist rule,” adds the AP.
“They are squeezing our necks so we don’t breathe the air of freedom,” said one protester.

BEIJING BETRAYAL: China CAUGHT SNEAKING Oil Supplies to North Korea
South Korean authorities announced Friday it had detained a Chinese-based ship and its staff over reports the tanker was sneaking oil supplies to Kim’s regime; a violation of recent UN sanctions that barred such shipments to the communist nation.
According to UPI, officials in Seoul confirmed they had seized the Lighthouse Winmore, a ship registered in Hong Kong that allegedly smuggled over 600 tons of refined oil into North Korea last November; well after the United Nations adopted Resolution 2375 which banned the hermit kingdom from importing fuel.
President Trump weighed-in on the revelation on social media, saying he was “very disappointed” that Beijing refused to comply with the UN mandate, adding that no “friendly solution” to the North Korean crisis would be possible “if this continues.”
“Caught RED HANDED – very disappointed that China is allowing oil to go into North Korea. There will never be a friendly solution to the North Korea problem if this continues to happen!” Trump tweeted.

South Korea’s seizure of a Chinese ship escalates already heightened tensions in the region; with dictator Kim Jong Un vowing to continue to test his rapidly expanding nuclear and missile programs.
BILL’S REGRET: Clinton Admits He ‘HAD A CHANCE’ to End Korea’s Nuclear Program
Bill Clinton publicly admitted he had some “regrets” this week surrounding North Korea’s nuclear weapons program; saying he “had a chance” to end the program towards the end of his presidency but ultimately failed.
The former president was speaking with NBC’s ‘Today’ show when he was asked to comment on President Trump’s upcoming summit with Kim Jong Un, saying “I had a chance at the end of my presidency — I kind of regret this now, but I would do the same thing again [if] faced with it.”
“I would do the same thing again [if] faced with it — to end their missile program, but I would have had to go to North Korea,” he added. “But I couldn’t do that and finish the Middle East peace… And Arafat begged me not to go and then backed out on his promise.”
“In these deals, you have to make a compromise, and so the test that the Americans should have when it’s over is: If both sides do what they promise to do, will we be better off? If the other side doesn’t, can we get out of this without more harm?” added Clinton.
