BEGGARS BANQUET: Grassley Blasts Biden for Begging for Saudi Oil, 'Get On Board With American Energy Independence'

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has a message for President Biden: time to get on board with American energy independence. Grassley blasted Biden in a recent interview for his administration’s failed energy policies, forcing America into a position where we have to ask our enemies for oil.

“When you shut down pipelines and you stop drilling, and you put regulations on fracking and you tell the banks not to loan them [energy companies] money, what would you expect?” he asked during a recent interview. ”We see what you can expect — $2 or more increase in the price of energy since this president came to town, and it’s just ridiculous.”

President Joe Biden ”could rescind those policies right away, and we would get half of the inflation that we have right now,” Grassley added. ”It would be the biggest inflation fighter program that he could put into effect.”

The White House announced this week that Biden will travel to Saudi Arabia next month —but Grassley would obviously prefer Biden make an earnest commitment to American energy.

‘Well, listen, he wouldn’t have to go to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela to get energy to come to this country when it’s right under our own feet, all the energy we need,” the senator said.

Grassley shared similar thoughts on Twitter, saying “President Biden has declared War on American Energy thru his failed policies: no XL pipeline no leasing on fed lands stopped offshore drilling etc Now ga$ price$ are thru the roof We need leaders who are for AMERICAN ENERGY INDEPENDENCE Pres Biden get on board.”
