Trump draws a red line for Hamas…
President Donald Trump on Monday issued a blunt warning to Hamas, saying the terror group must “be good” or “be eradicated” as his team works to preserve the fragile cease-fire he brokered between Israel and Hamas.
“They’re violent people. Hamas has been very violent, but they don’t have the backing of Iran anymore,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
“They don’t have the backing of really anybody anymore. They have to be good, and if they’re not good, they’ll be eradicated.”
The president’s comments came as special envoy Steve Witkoff and senior adviser Jared Kushner met with regional leaders in Israel to keep Trump’s 20-point peace deal on track.
Their meetings included a session with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who suspended new entries into the Gaza region after two Israeli soldiers were killed in weekend clashes. The Israeli military responded with retaliatory airstrikes, which Hamas claims killed 26.
Trump’s diplomatic team — credited with the surprise breakthrough that cooled one of the world’s most volatile conflicts — is now working to keep the agreement intact.
Vice President JD Vance is set to arrive in Israel on Tuesday to reinforce Trump’s push and apply added pressure on Hamas to comply.
While past administrations talked peace, Trump is enforcing it — and reminding Hamas that under his watch, America’s word comes with consequences.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: No. We have 59 countries. Countries called me when Hamas started killing saying, 'We'd LOVE to go in and take care of it ourselves.' Israel would go in too within 2 minutes. I… pic.twitter.com/VLkUPGQYvF
