Recent polling from the key primary state of New Hampshire may spell big trouble for Joe Biden, with Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren making major gains months before voters head to the polls.
According to the latest survey from Suffolk University-Boston Globe, Biden leads the Democratic field with 21%, followed by Sanders at 17% and Warren at 14%.
That’s a 5% bump for both candidates since the second round of presidential debates.
“Sen. Kamala Harris is in fourth place at 8 percent support, followed by South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 6 percent and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) at 3 percent. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) is at 1 percent support and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke registered zero percent support,” reports The Hill.
The survey comes days after another national showed Biden maintaining a healthy lead over his Democratic challengers.
“Standing in contrast to the first set of Democratic debates, this week’s matchups did little to immediately impact potential Democratic primary voters’ preferences for president,” states a new poll from Morning Consult.
“Thirty-two percent of Democratic primary voters said they still want to see former Vice President Joe Biden at the top of the party’s 2020 ticket, according to new Morning Consult polling conducted after the Tuesday and Wednesday debates in Detroit. That figure hasn’t shifted much since the end of the first round of debates, when 33 percent said Biden was their first choice,” adds the survey.
Following Biden is Bernie Sanders at 18%, Elizabeth Warren at 15%, and Kamala Harris at 10%.
“Candidates used Wednesday to attack front-runner Biden over his criminal justice record and the Obama administration’s deportation record, but their attempts to discredit the former vice president were largely unfruitful in terms of changing voters’ minds — at least in the short term. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii) also used the stage to criticize Harris’ record as attorney general of California,” reports Morning Consult.

Senator Kamala Harris is quickly capitalizing off last week’s Democratic debate, with new data showing the California lawmaker is now in a virtual tie with former Vice President and frontrunner Joe Biden.
“Sen. Kamala Harris of California has catapulted into a virtual tie with former Vice President Joe Biden in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination — and she’s made significant inroads with black voters — following her widely praised debate performance last week, a new national poll released Tuesday showed,” reports NBC News.
“The latest Quinnipiac University poll of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters showed Biden with 22 percent support and Harris with 20 percent — a double-digit jump for her since the university’s previous poll last month,” adds the survey.
President Trump weighed-in Tuesday on the 2020 Democratic presidential primary; saying the “Crew” looks “easier to debate” than his 2016 opponent Hillary Clinton.

Senator Lindsey Graham unloaded on the Democratic Party following last week’s disastrous presidential debates; saying it’s sad that the Mexican government is more willing to work with President Trump on immigration than his own opposition.
“The immigration debate is turning into complete slander against the brave men and women serving our nation on the border. It’s sad that the Mexican government is more willing to work with President Trump than the Democrats are,” posted Graham on social media.

BAD ADVICE: Hillary Reportedly Met with Biden, Klobuchar on 2020 White House Bids
Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton held private meetings with former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Amy Klobuchar in recent days; offering advice to both potential Democratic candidates heading into the 2020 election season.
“Hillary Clinton held meetings in early February with former Vice President Joe Biden and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar to talk about the 2020 presidential election, a source close to the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee tells CNN,” reports CNN.
The meetings reportedly took place at the former Secretary of State’s home in the nation’s capital.
The secret discussions raise new questions over Hillary’s potential role in the upcoming Democratic primary process and the general election next November.
