Controversial Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib tacitly apologized Tuesday after re-tweeting a phony story claiming Israeli settlers were kidnapping and intentionally drowning Palestinian children.
“In this era of inaccurate and manipulative news, I will also strive to hold myself to the highest standards for what I share. Know that I always seek truth as we uplift the oppressed and fight for equality, justice, and freedom,” posted Tlaib on social media.

Tlaib’s re-tweet reignited old accusations of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel comments throughout her career.

President Trump called-out Rep. Rashida Tlaib Tuesday afternoon following the Congresswoman’s press conference; saying she “hates Israel” and is the “new face of the Democratic Party.”
“Sorry, I don’t buy Rep. Tlaib’s tears. I have watched her violence, craziness and, most importantly, WORDS, for far too long. Now tears? She hates Israel and all Jewish people. She is an anti-Semite. She and her 3 friends are the new face of the Democrat Party. Live with it!” posted Trump on Twitter.
Rep. Ilhan Omar continued to escalate her fiery rhetoric against Israel this week; saying their government is denying “freedom” to millions of Palestinians while mocking the Jewish State’s “Democracy.”
NEW: Rep. Ilhan Omar on U.S. aid to Israel: "We must be asking, as Israel's ally, the Netanyahu government stop the expansion of settlements on Palestinian land and ensure full rights for Palestinians if we are to give them aid." https://t.co/BflAp7aeir pic.twitter.com/tsSWcN22SU

“We in the United States have a constructive role to play. We give Israel more than $3 billion in aid every year. This is predicated on them being an important ally in the region, and the ‘only democracy’ in the Middle East,” mocked Omar.
“We must be asking, as Israel’s ally, the Netanyahu government stop the expansion of settlements on Palestinian land and ensure full rights for Palestinians if we are to give them aid,” she added.
Omar posted a massive, anti-Israeli tirade on social media Friday, just hours after she was denied entry into the Jewish State for her outspoken support of multiple boycott initiatives.
“Let’s be clear: the goal of our trip was to witness firsthand what is happening on the ground in Palestine and hear from stakeholders —our job as Members of Congress. But since we were unable to fulfill our role as legislators, I am sharing what we would have seen,” she posted on Twitter. “First, I planned to hold meetings with members of the Knesset (both Jewish and Arab) along with Israeli security officials.”
A NEW LOW: Rashida Tlaib Accuses STEVE SCALISE of ‘Islamophobia’ for Condemning Anti-Semitism
Recently sworn-in Rep. Rashida Tlaib blasted GOP Rep. Steve Scalise Wednesday evening; accusing the lawmaker of “Islamophobia” after he demanded Ilhan Omar be removed from the Foreign Affairs Committee for her anti-Semitic statements.
“Hard to watch Rep. Scalise demand that Rep. @IlhanMN be removed from House Foreign Affairs w/o wondering if it’s steeped in Islamophobia. Ilhan is more than capable of sitting on the committee & making decisions that are in the best interests of her constituents & all Americans,” posted Tlaib on social media.

Omar made national headlines earlier this year after she accused “evil” Israel of “hypnotizing” the world and flat-out refused to condemn Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro.
BACKLASH BUILDS: Rep. Tlaib Says Critics Pushing ‘Racist Agenda’ After Her Controversial ‘Holocaust’ Comments
Rep. Rashida Tlaib pushed back against critics Sunday night after the controversial Congresswoman found herself in hot water for saying the Nazi holocaust of European Jews gives her a “calming feeling.”
“Policing my words, twisting & turning them to ignite vile attacks on me will not work. All of you who are trying to silence me will fail miserably. I will never allow you to take my words out of context to push your racist and hateful agenda. The truth will always win,” posted Tlaib on social media.

“There’s always kind of a calming feeling when I think of the tragedy of the Holocaust, that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence, in many ways, has been wiped out … in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews,” said Tlaib during a recent podcast.
