It may have been rage over ABC’s benching of Jimmy Kimmel.
A Sacramento man suspected of firing into the lobby of ABC10 television station has been arrested again, hours after posting bail on Saturday, officials said.
The FBI said Anibal Hernandez Santana, 64, was taken into custody on probable cause for violating federal statute 47 USC 333, which prohibits interference with radio communications of government-licensed stations.
California police said Friday that they were investigating reports of gunfire that hit the local ABC affiliate, which was the scene of a protest a day earlier against the network’s decision to suspend late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.
Police said officers responded Friday afternoon to reports of shots fired outside the ABC10 building at 400 Broadway shortly after 1:30 p.m. No one was injured in the shooting, though the building was occupied at the time.
Three bullet holes were found in the lobby window. A person was inside the lobby when the shots were fired but was not physically harmed, the station said.

Police confirmed Hernandez Santana was arrested Friday evening at a residence in the 5400 block of Carlson Drive in River Park. Investigators linked him to a vehicle suspected in the drive-by shooting.
He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail around midnight on charges including assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied building, and negligent discharge of a firearm.
Bail was set at $200,000, according to jail records. Police said he posted bail on Saturday before being re-arrested.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that Hernandez Santana was back in custody.
“The FBI has taken into custody the suspect linked to the shooting into ABC10’s Sacramento station lobby under a federal hold for interference with licensed broadcasts.”
“Targeted acts of violence are unacceptable and will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law,” Patel wrote on X.
