AXELROD ON BIDEN: ‘He Either Can Cut It, Or He Can’t’

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.15.19

Democratic strategist David Axelrod weighed-in Thursday on Joe Biden’s potentially reduced campaign schedule; saying “this is bad advice” and claiming the former Vice President can “either cut it or he can’t.”

“This is bad advice. You can’t cloister the candidate and win. He either can cut it or he can’t, and the only way he can prove he can is to be an active and vigorous candidate. He’s running for president of the United States, for God’s sake!” posted Axelrod on social media.

Allies and political insiders close to Joe Biden are reportedly telling the former Vice President to scale back his campaign stops and speaking events; hoping the reduced schedule will minimize future speaking gaffes.

“Allies to Joe Biden have been floating the idea of altering the former vice president’s schedule in an effort to reduce the gaffes he has made in recent days,” reports The Hill. “The allies, growing increasingly nervous about Biden’s verbal flubs, have said it’s an approach that’s been suggested to campaign officials on the heels of the former vice president’s stumbles.”

“He needs to be a strong force on the campaign trail, but he also has to pace himself,” said one insider.

“I think you’ll see the same schedule and maybe even more Joe Biden,” one ally said. “Everyone wants to see Joe Biden be Joe Biden. If he’s held back in any way, that’s almost the antithesis of who he is.”

“I think it’s the wrong approach,” they added.

“Joe Biden has spoken his mind his entire life, which voters know and love about him,” said Biden’s deputy campaign manager. “He’s a real person, he’s authentic, and that will never change. He’s going to keep taking on Trump and making the case to voters about the stakes we face in this election, regardless of how the press chooses to cover him.”

President Trump routinely refers to Biden as “sleepy Joe.”

BIDEN’S BEDTIME? ‘Sleepy Joe’ Stumbles Through Rambling Speech, Stops to Ask ‘What Am I Doing?’

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.12.19

Democratic Frontrunner Joe Biden surprised his supporters during an unusual speech this week; stumbling through his prepared remarks and ultimately asking “What am I doing?” before exiting the stage.

“I would uhhhh, remind the world that we are the United States of America… They’ll be no more Charlottesville, no more Helsinki,” said Biden. “Donald Trump and the democrogs— demagogues around the world are learn— leaning into these forces.”

“We believe in free speech, that’s why I’ll end the global gag rule… What am I doing?” he asked.

The former Vice President’s poll numbers have dropped in recent weeks after the first Democrat debates in Miami.

“The NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey found that 26 percent of likely primary voters support Biden, while 19 percent support Warren. Trailing those two are Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Bernie Sanders(I-Vt.), who are each backed by 13 percent,” reports The Hill.

“The only other contenders who receive support from more than 1 percent of voters are South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 7 percent, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke with 2 percent and former tech executive Andrew Yang with 2 percent,” adds the site.

Warren introduced a new plan this week that would essentially “decriminalize” those caught illegally entering the United States; raising serious new questions over the Democrat’s immigration policy heading into the 2020 election.

“Entering the country without authorization has always been a violation of civil immigration law, but thanks to a former segregationist Senator, it’s also a criminal violation. This additional criminal provision is totally unnecessary for border security, and for a century, it was rarely enforced. But since the early 2000s, it has been used to build and sustain a massive immigration detention complex,” writes Warren in an op-ed published by Medium.

“In 2016, over half of all federal criminal prosecutions were for immigration violations — more than prosecutions for terrorism, organized crime, hate crimes, or financial fraud. This obsessive focus ties up federal prosecutors and overwhelms federal courts. It’s costly and unnecessary. And under Trump, it has become increasingly abusive,” she adds.

BIDEN’S BIZARRE CHALLENGE: The Former VP Challenges Trump to a Push-Up Contest, Public Race

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.16.19

Former Vice President Joe Biden jokingly challenged President Trump to a fitness competition this week; saying he’d ask the Commander-in-Chief “how many push-ups do you want to do?”

“I would say, come on Donald, come on, man. How many push-ups do you want to do here, pal? I mean jokingly,” Biden said.

“You know, come on, run with me, man. it’s like I was in a parade in Independence, Missouri. And I always run in parades… and a fellow from Independence who was a Trump supporter said, ‘hey sleepy Joe!’ I said, come run with me, Jack. Come on man!” he added.

“I’m not going to get down in the dirt with him,” said the former Vice President. “That’s the only place he knows how to fight. I’m just going to continue to talk about what he’s doing — why it’s so damaging to America and as my mother would say, I’m not going to take any guff from him”

Biden touted the accomplishments of Obamacare this week; unveiling his new healthcare plan while promising Americans can “keep their private insurance” should they choose to.

Biden promoted his new plan online Monday; breaking with fellow Democrats like Bernie Sanders who seek to ban private health insurance options for every single American.

“I give people the option,” Biden said. “If you like your health care plan, your employer-based plan, you can keep it.”

“You get full coverage, and you can stay with your plan if you like it. You can stay with your employer-based plan, or you can move on. I think it’s the quickest, most reasonable, rational and best way to get to universal coverage,” he added.

“I understand the appeal of Medicare for All, but folks supporting it should be clear that it means getting rid of ObamaCare, and I’m not for that,” Biden concluded.
