AXELROD: Joe Biden in Serious Danger of ‘Serially Distorting His Own Record’

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.06.19

Former senior Obama advisor David Axelrod weighed-in on Joe Biden’s recent speaking gaffes on the campaign trail this week; saying the Democratic frontrunner is in serious danger of “serially distorting his own record.”

“It’s one thing to have a well-earned rep for goofy, harmless gaffes. It’s another if you serially distort your own record. @JoeBiden is in danger of creating a more damaging meme,” posted Axelrod on social media.

Axelrod made similar comments earlier this year, saying Biden can “either cut it or he can’t” after reports the former Vice President was reducing his campaign schedule to minimize mistakes.

“This is bad advice. You can’t cloister the candidate and win. He either can cut it or he can’t, and the only way he can prove he can is to be an active and vigorous candidate. He’s running for president of the United States, for God’s sake!” posted Axelrod on social media.

Allies and political insiders close to Joe Biden are reportedly telling the former Vice President to scale back his campaign stops and speaking events; hoping the reduced schedule will minimize future speaking gaffes.

“Allies to Joe Biden have been floating the idea of altering the former vice president’s schedule in an effort to reduce the gaffes he has made in recent days,” reports The Hill. “The allies, growing increasingly nervous about Biden’s verbal flubs, have said it’s an approach that’s been suggested to campaign officials on the heels of the former vice president’s stumbles.”

“He needs to be a strong force on the campaign trail, but he also has to pace himself,” said one insider.

AXELROD ON BIDEN: ‘He Either Can Cut It, Or He Can’t’

Democratic strategist David Axelrod weighed-in Thursday on Joe Biden’s potentially reduced campaign schedule; saying “this is bad advice” and claiming the former Vice President can “either cut it or he can’t.”

“I think you’ll see the same schedule and maybe even more Joe Biden,” one ally said. “Everyone wants to see Joe Biden be Joe Biden. If he’s held back in any way, that’s almost the antithesis of who he is.”

“I think it’s the wrong approach,” they added.

“Joe Biden has spoken his mind his entire life, which voters know and love about him,” said Biden’s deputy campaign manager. “He’s a real person, he’s authentic, and that will never change. He’s going to keep taking on Trump and making the case to voters about the stakes we face in this election, regardless of how the press chooses to cover him.”

President Trump routinely refers to Biden as “sleepy Joe.”

BAD MEMORY: Joe Biden Called William Barr ‘One of the Best’ Attorney Generals Back in 1995

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.11.19

Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden demanded William Barr resign from the Department of Justice in previous days following his handling of the Mueller report; conveniently forgetting his public praise of the Attorney General back in the 1990s.

According to CBS News, Biden applauded Barr’s time at the DOJ back in 1995; adding “you were one of the best I have ever worked with.”

“As I know you know, but others should know, too, I truly enjoyed working with you when you were attorney general,” Biden told Barr, who was President George H.W. Bush’s attorney general. “You were one of the best I have ever worked with, and there have been a lot of attorneys general since I have been here, and I mean that sincerely.”

Biden has apparently changed his mind; calling for the removal of Barr just weeks ago.

“Should AG Barr resign?” asked a reporter in Des Moines, Iowa.

“I think he’s lost the confidence of the American people. I think he should,” fired-back Biden.

Biden was mocked on both sides of the political aisle last weekend; with pundits pointing out his “lackluster” schedule and his ongoing “bromance” with Barack Obama.

Joe Biden found himself mocked over the weekend for his corny effort to tie himself to former President Barack Obama, while also coming under criticism from other presidential candidates for skipping the biggest Iowa campaign event of the cycle so far,” reports Fox News.

Biden marked ‘Best Friends Day’ last Friday by posting a pair of “friendship bracelets” donning both their names.

“This is a joke, right?” asked former senior presidential advisor David Axelrod.

“It turns out, the bracelet itself was: BuzzFeed produced a sympathetic and playful video in 2016 of Obama encouraging people to register to vote, showing the president jokingly making the bracelet,” adds Fox.

Nearly 20 Democratic candidates descended on Iowa over the weekend to speak at party fundraiser. Notably absent from the event? Joe Biden.

“When I saw the program for today, I thought the same thing you all did, which is this: Joe Biden must really not like to travel,” said entrepreneur Andrew Yang, a Democratic candidate.

Biden claims he skipped the event to attend the graduation of his granddaughter.

“Jill & I were thrilled to be there today to watch our amazing granddaughter Maisy graduate. Maisy, you make us so proud & we can’t wait to see what you do next with your talent, smarts, dedication and kindness. The future is yours, and Nana & Pop will always be right behind you,” posted the former VP on social media.
