'ARE BABIES RACIST?': Watch Cruz Bring the Heat, Challenge Jackson on Ties to Critical Race Theory

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.23.22

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) grilled Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson over her ties to Critical Race Theory —and the exchange got a little intense.

“Is critical race theory taught in schools? Is it taught in Kindergarten through twelfth [grade]?” Sen. Ted Cruz questioned Jackson.

“I don’t know. I don’t think so,” she responded. “I believe it’s an academic theory that is at the law school level.”

But Judge Jackson is on the board of a day school school that has CRT elements in its curriculum —Cruz knew that, and kept pushing for answers.

“Cruz then proceeded to point to books that are a part of the Georgetown Day School curriculum, which espouses CRT. Cruz cited the books ‘Critical Race Theory, An Introduction’ and ‘Antiracist Baby’ as examples of the books. Jackson has been a board of trustees member at Georgetown Day School since 2019 and a member of the Georgetown Day School community for about a decade,” Breitbart News reports.

“There are portions of this book that I find that I find really quite remarkable. One portion of the book says babies are taught to be racist or anti-racist —there is no neutrality. Another portion of the book, they recommend that babies confess when being racist. Now this is a book that is taught at Georgetown Day School to students in Pre-K through 2nd grade…do you agree with this book that is being taught with kids that babies are racist?” Cruz asks.
