Forget the 12 year deadline touted by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Beto O’Rourke, and Bernie Sanders; the BBC News is now reporting that humans have just 18 months to “save the planet.”
“Do you remember the good old days when we had ‘12 years to save the planet’? Now it seems, there’s a growing consensus that the next 18 months will be critical in dealing with the global heating crisis, among other environmental challenges,” reports the BBC. “Last year, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reported that to keep the rise in global temperatures below 1.5C this century, emissions of carbon dioxide would have to be cut by 45% by 2030.”
“But today, observers recognise that the decisive, political steps to enable the cuts in carbon to take place will have to happen before the end of next year,” adds the article. “The idea that 2020 is a firm deadline was eloquently addressed by one of the world’s top climate scientists, speaking back in 2017.”
“The climate math is brutally clear: While the world can’t be healed within the next few years, it may be fatally wounded by negligence until 2020,” said one scientist.
Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders doubled-down on his non-stop climate crusade last week; suggesting the USA should direct upwards of $1.5 trillion to reduce the global risks posed by rising temperatures.
“Instead of spending $1.5 trillion on weapons to kill one other, let us unite against the common enemy that is climate change,” posted Sanders on social media.

Sanders blamed the current heat-wave sweeping the Northeast USA on Donald Trump’s two-year presidency Friday; saying the Commander-in-Chief is “is threatening the lives of our children.”
“The past 5 years are the hottest on record
This June is the hottest June recorded
Thousands die in heatwaves around the world
Trump’s ignorance is threatening the lives of our children. For their sake, we must stand up to the fossil fuel industry and build a green economy,” posted Sanders on social media.

BRAIN FREEZE: Al Gore Demands TRUMP’S RESIGNATION Over ‘CLIMATE CHANGE’ Inaction
Former Vice President and climate-change crusader Al Gore called for President Trump’s immediate resignation this week; saying the Commander-in-Chief should step down over his failure to address global warming.
Gore slammed the President during a recent interview, saying “My only message would be resign. I don’t think he’s prepared to listen to advice about the importance of clean air and clean water.”

Gore’s message on climate-change left millions of Americans scratching their heads over the last several months, with the former VP struggling to explain the bitter-cold winter temperatures that slammed the majority of the US in January.
BRAIN FREEZE: Al Gore Says Climate Change Cooling... THEN WARMING the Earth
Former Vice President and climate-change crusader Al Gore warned social media of another “ominous” heat record set in Oman over the weekend, just months after claiming global warming was -in fact- cooling the planet.
Gore posted the dire prediction on Twitter Saturday, saying “another ominous record” was smashed when the “overnight Low” in Oman reached a staggering 108.7 degrees.
“Another ominous record has been set. The city of Quriyat, Oman, hit an overnight LOW of 108.7 degrees on Tuesday – likely the highest minimum daily temp recorded on Earth,” Gore writes.

The former Vice President was touting another aspect of climate change just last winter, when he said the global crisis was creating record low temperatures throughout the United States.
“It’s bitter cold in parts of the US, but climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann explains that’s exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis,” he tweeted.
