Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ripped her Republican colleagues on the House Floor Thursday afternoon; saying it’s “a joke” when GOP lawmakers “say they have urgency” in providing Coronavirus relief to the American people.
“It is a joke when Republicans say that they have urgency around this bill. The only focus they have urgency around are folks like Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Shake Shack,” said AOC.

Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down on her call for a national work boycott Thursday; bizarrely claiming former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders doesn’t “care about safety” during the Coronavirus.
“Trump has NO PLAN to get people safely back to work.
GOP Govs like Kemp are sending vulnerable workers to die w/ false claims of safety.
Trump also pushed an unproven, dangerous treatment as a ‘cure’ & firing experts who want to vet claims.
Last thing you care abt is safety,” posted AOC on social media.

“.@AOC says Americans should boycott work. As usual she’s wrong. The goal should be for Americans to SAFELY return to work because unlike AOC and members of Congress, most of us actually have to show up at work to get paid and support our families!” posted Sanders earlier Thursday.
AOC on VIRUS: Senate’s Bipartisan Coronavirus Relief Bill ‘Shameful!’… Nothing but ‘Crumbs’
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down on her fierce opposition to the Senate’s bipartisan Coronavirus relief package Friday; calling the legislation “shameful” and “crumbs” for American families.
“Our community’s reality is this country’s future if we don’t do anything. Hospital workers do not have protective equipment. We don’t have the necessary ventilators. We have to go into this vote eyes wide open,” said Rep. Ocasio-Cortez on the House Floor.

“Shameful! The greed of that fight is wrong, for crumbs for our families, and the option that we have is to let them suffer with nothing or to allow this greed and billions of dollars which will be leveraged into trillions of dollars!” she screamed.

AOC on VIRUS: US Must ‘Strip Profit Motive Out of Our Decisions’ to Promote ‘The Public Good’
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez weighed-in on the national Coronavirus crisis this week; saying America must “strip profit motive out of our decisions” to “reprioritize the public good.”
“We have to start demanding… that we strip profit motive out of our decisions and reprioritize the public good and the health of everyday people,” posted AOC on social media.

Ocasio-Cortez continued to comment on the “racist” impact of the Coronavirus Monday; saying the disease is mostly felt in “Black and Latino” communities across the country.
“To all the people that said ‘there’s no evidence racial disparities in COVID impact exist’. I represent the most impacted neighborhoods in the country: Corona & East Elmhurst. These are overwhelmingly Black & Latino neighborhoods. Louis Armstrong’s house is here,” posted AOC on social media.

I incl that last detail to illustrate that these are also HISTORICALLY Black communities, which means they have been impacted by racist policies like redlining for generations.
This pandemic is happening in CONTEXT. & a lot of folks who deny racism have no idea what it really is
