Maybe Joe shouldn’t have used the word “wall.” The “Biden Barrier” maybe?

In a statement released by Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, she blasts President Biden for building more than 20+ miles of new wall at the southern border; “The President must reverse course,” she says.

“Walls only serve to push migrants into more remote areas, increasing their chances of death. It is a cruel policy,” she continued.

The new sections of the barrier measuring 20 miles will go up along the southern border in Starr County, Texas, which has been a high-traffic entry point for migrants, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Some 245,000 people have illegally entered the US in that area this fiscal year alone.

Biden has previously condemned building a border wall, a pet project of former President Donald Trump, and tried to claim the decision to go back on that was out of his hands.

He said Thursday that he tried to get lawmakers to reappropriate the Trump-era funding but Congress refused.
