Texas Senator Ted Cruz joined Hannity Thursday night following President Biden’s State of the Union address; Cruz says Joe came across as “angry” and “bitter” and spent a lot of time “screaming.”
“Let’s get your reaction to the style. Joe had a very big challenge coming into tonight because of his cognitive decline…clearly Jacked-up Joe perhaps overcompensated and that’s being charitable. What was your reaction to that?” Hannity asked Cruz.
“It was a campaign speech but it was an exceptionally bad campaign speech,” Cruz says. “Joe Biden was angry. He was bitter. He was screaming the entire night. He was radical and extreme and he was completely out of touch with the American people.”
“Frankly, Joe Biden reminded me of an angry old man standing on his porch screaming to the kids ‘GET OFF MY LAWN.’ I’ve been to twelve State of the Unions and I’ve never seen anything like this.”
“In State of the Unions, typically, whether you have a Democrat or Republican President who’s giving the speech, there are a number of lines to reach out to the other party to get everyone standing…we basically just sat there for over an hour after he told lie after lie after lie.”
“I’ve never seen anything like this!”
