It was law and order, Old West style, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
A mounted NYPD officer chased down a convicted killer parolee who allegedly snatched a purse in broad daylight, with dramatic footage showing the galloping takedown on a crowded city block.
Felicia Field, 44, grabbed a woman’s bag near West 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue around 11 a.m. Wednesday and tried to flee on foot, police said.
She didn’t get far.
A mounted officer and his horse, Kelly, surged into action — cutting across traffic and pounding down the sidewalk in pursuit as stunned pedestrians looked on.
“Police, stop! Stop running!” the officer can be heard shouting in body cam video as the chase unfolded.
Field darted into traffic in a desperate attempt to escape.
But the 23-year-old standardbred bay closed the gap, and officers quickly moved in to cuff her and recover the stolen purse.
“Whether on foot or on hooves, our officers are always ready,” the NYPD said in a post on X.

Field now faces charges including grand larceny and false impersonation after allegedly giving police a fake name. She has 14 prior arrests — and three more this year alone, including accusations she threatened someone with scissors, kicked a man, and stole $900 in merchandise.
Less than 24 hours after her arrest, she was arraigned and released on supervised release.
The suspect’s past is even more chilling.
Field served 25 years behind bars for her role in a 2000 robbery that ended in the execution-style killing of a New York City cab driver.
At the time, police said Field, then 18, and two teenage accomplices hailed a cab in East New York with a plan to rob the driver. During the holdup, 43-year-old Saro Manuel Lopez — a father of five — was shot in the back of the head and killed.
Investigators said Field admitted she was holding the gun when it fired, though she claimed it went off accidentally while she tried to pass it to another suspect.
Witnesses reported hearing her shout, “Why did you shoot him?” in the chaotic aftermath.
Field later confessed to her role and spent decades in prison before being paroled last year.
