'A TRUE BUNCH OF LOSERS!' Trump Unloads on ABC for Bringing Kimmel Back

President Trump has threatened to sue ABC over Jimmy Kimmel’s return to the airwaves, saying the network should have let the embattled late-night host “rot” after his inflammatory comments about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Trump raised the prospect of legal action Tuesday, just before a defiant Kimmel returned to host his show following nearly a week off the air.

“He is yet another arm of the DNC and, to the best of my knowledge, that would be a major Illegal Campaign Contribution. I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers! Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad Ratings.”

In early 2024, Trump sued ABC and host George Stephanopoulos for defamation. ABC News later agreed to a $15 million settlement.

On Tuesday, Trump again blasted ABC for reinstating Kimmel despite his claim that Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, was affiliated with the MAGA movement.

“I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back. The White House was told by ABC that his Show was cancelled!” Trump wrote.

“Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE, and his ‘talent’ was never there. Why would they want someone back who does so poorly, who’s not funny, and who puts the Network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat GARBAGE.”

Kimmel, in his return monologue, mentioned Kirk’s name only once and stopped short of an apology. Critics accused him of making himself the victim, with “crocodile tears.”

“It was never my intention to make light of a murder of a young man,” Kimmel told viewers. “I don’t think there’s anything funny about it. Nor was it my intention to blame any specific group for the actions of what was obviously a deeply disturbed individual – that was really the opposite of the point I was trying to make.”

Meanwhile, Kimmel’s monologue experienced a significant surge in interest following his comment controversy and subsequent sparring with President Trump.
