Louisiana Senator John Kennedy torched the Schumer-Manchin Inflation Reduction Act in a video statement shared on twitter over the weekend —Kennedy says passing this bill takes a “special kind of stupid.”
“Senator Manchin’s bill raises taxes on oil and gas. Manchin’s message seems to be since you can’t afford gas because of my bill, go buy a $75,000 electric vehicile — that’s not going to work in Louisiana. That’s not going to work across America.”
“The burden of Senator Manchin’s bill will fall on everyone not just people making $400,000 a year…Americans will have less money to spend as prices continue to rise.”
“It takes a special kind of stupid to raise taxes during a recession and inflation —that’s called stagflation.”
“This bill is tier one moronic.”
