McCain announced his opposition to the Graham-Cassidy healthcare plan last week, joining Sen. Rand Paul and effectively killing the bill before it comes to a full vote on the Senate floor.
Earlier this year, McCain cast the crucial ‘no’ vote that sunk Republican efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare, setting the stage for the current congressional showdown.
The Senate has until September 30th to pass the GOP legislation with a simple 50 vote majority.
