Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel fired-back at GOP lawmakers Thursday night, further escalating the ongoing feud between the liberal actor and Senators Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy; calling the Louisiana Senator ‘inbred’ during his opening monologue on national television.
Kimmel was blasting the Republican legislators renewed push to repeal and replace Obama’s failing healthcare legislation, saying the bill did not pass the “Jimmy Kimmel Test.”
After calling Sen. Cassidy a “liar” earlier this week, then threatening to physically assault a Fox News anchor, Kimmel lashed-out at fellow Louisiana Senator John Neely Kennedy.
Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Sen. Kennedy defended the new healthcare legislation, saying “Our biggest opponents appear to be at this point Sen. Bernie Sanders and Jimmy Kimmel […] Bernie is Bernie. I don’t know Mr. Kimmel – he’s a funny guy – but I don’t think anybody would confuse him with a well-respected health care expert.”
“I should not be the guy you go to for information about health care, and if these guys — like inbred John Kennedy — would tell the truth for a change, I wouldn’t have to,” fired-back Kimmel.
