Former senior White House advisor Steve Bannon slammed Hillary Clinton during an interview over the weekend, saying the doomed Presidential candidate was “not very bright” and “doesn’t have a grasp on what’s important.”
Bannon made his comments while speaking with CBS News, blasting the former Secretary of State for spouting “nonsense” during her “embarrassing” campaign events throughout the 2016 election.
“Her very first speech when she came off the beach was nonsense. This goes to something I want to address with you: Hillary Clinton’s not very bright,” said Bannon. “She doesn’t really have a grasp, she doesn’t have a grasp on what’s important and what’s not. That’s what’s essential in a leader. Donald Trump has a grasp on what’s important.”
“Economic nationalism is what this country was built on; the American system. We go back to that, we look after our own, we look after our citizens, we look after our manufacturing base, and guess what? This country is going to be greater, more united, more powerful than it’s ever been. This is not astrophysics,” added the former White House advisor.
“That’s every nationality, every race, every religion, every sexual preference, as long as you’re a citizen of our country, as long as you’re an American citizen you’re part of this populist, economic nationalist movement,” said Bannon.
