President Donald Trump made a memorable entrance Wednesday at the final day of the G7 summit, arriving after the other world leaders had already gathered for their morning economic session.

When Trump entered the room, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was temporarily seated in the American chair at the leaders’ table.

Trump walked over, smiled, and joked, “I’m the boss,” before taking his place and replacing Bessent.

The lighthearted moment came as G7 leaders prepared to begin discussions focused on the global economy.

French President Emmanuel Macron attempted to kick off the meeting, but Trump quickly interjected with an unusual suggestion regarding the assembled press corps.

“Would you like to stay for the meeting? It’s ok with me,” Trump said, appearing to invite reporters to remain inside the room.

The invitation was short-lived.

French officials overseeing summit logistics promptly ushered members of the media out of the session as leaders prepared to begin their private discussions.

As reporters exited, Trump could be heard making another observation about the meeting room itself.

“It’s too hot in here,” the president remarked.

The delayed start came after Trump spent part of the morning posting on TRUTH Social while the session was scheduled to begin.
